That list is designed to do nothing other than get hits. The Lotus Elite belongs on the 50 best cars list, maybe even the 10 best.
Likewise the EV1 was a very well engineered car that was let down by lead acid batteries. If they put that back into production with Li batteries it would be a perfectly competent vehicle. And the Fiat Multipla, despite it's odd nose, was another great vehicle.
Can't argue with the Dauphine though. I once tried to jack ours up on the frame rail, and it bent.
